Some vendors offer it in its purest form, meaning directly extracted from the coconut palm, and enrich it with small pieces of apple and walnut for an unparalleled taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originally from Africa, where it is known as Legmi, tuba arrived in Mexico, specifically in Colima, during the colonial era thanks to Fray Antonio Tello, who perfected the extraction method. The artisanal process of collecting coconut cream involves climbing the palm tree twice a day, in the morning and at dusk, to make cuts in the trunk and collect the precious pulp.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/labahiamasbella.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/canopy-river-la-tuba-960x640-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27900\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although tuba is now produced in other states of the republic, nothing compares to tasting the original in Colima or Jalisco.
