The Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden wants you to fall in love with it

The Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden is a place to let yourself be carried away by the breeze, listen to the birds sing and marvel at the design of the flora.

To get to the Botanical Garden of Puerto Vallarta you have to head towards Barra de Navidad on Federal Highway 200. By car it takes about 30 minutes. You can also take the bus that passes at the corner of Venustiano Carranza and Aguacate in the Old Vallarta area. On its sign it says Tuito / Botanical Garden and a trip leaves every 30 minutes, making a journey of 40 to 45 minutes. We will tell you a little more about this beautiful place so that you are encouraged to discover it. It is an area of 26 hectares at 420 meters above sea level. It is directed by the civil association Vallarta Botánica Gardens, founded by Bob Price in 2004, opening its doors to the public in 2005.

It is registered with Botanic Gardens Conservation International in Surrey, England. He is also a member of the Mexican Association of Orchidology. Its Orchid Conservatory exhibits 300 of the 1,000 species that exist in the country. It should not be forgotten that this beautiful garden is a member of many other international agencies in charge of bird conservation. It is recognized for its work as a bird reserve with the collaboration of ornithologists. There are more than 200 species that choose this paradisiacal garden as a refuge. For these and many other awards it is attended by scientists and biologists. You don't need to be a specialist to enjoy the wonders of the Botanical Garden.

Vallarta Botanical Garden: Open your eyes and appreciate the variety of flora that exists in the region

Over the years they have been in charge of maintaining and improving the Botanical Garden, gaining fame over the years. The variety of vegetation extends in its different attractive points. There is the Galeana Family Cactus Garden, the Tree Fern Grotto, the Tropical Fruit Orchard, just to mention a few. Its paths take you through different places, from its beautiful suspension bridge, its pond of Aquatic Plants and the Pozos Esmeralda bath. Oaks, agaves, palms, bromeliads and much more flora. Remember to bring your cell phone or camera to take many photos during the tour. If you prefer that an expert guide you through the area, a tour is given at 1:00 pm. Bring comfortable shoes, plenty of water, sunscreen, and good insect repellent. You can bring a bathing suit and a towel to swim in the horcones river, which passes through the area.

Hummingbirds always come to accompany you while you consume your food and drinks.

It is not allowed to bring food, in the place there is a quality restaurant for its friendly service and its delicious dishes. The restaurant hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. On its beautiful terrace you will have a broader view of the Botanical Garden.

If you are going with your family and you do not want to leave your pet out of this incredible walk, the Botanical Garden allows dogs, as long as you follow the rules. Your canine must have the leash on throughout the tour and do not forget to pick up the feces. During the months of December to March it is open every day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. While from April to November they close on Mondays. If you are an "early bird" you can enjoy this tour every Thursday during the months of December to March. As you imagine in the Botanical Garden there are many things to explore and it is waiting for you to visit it in all its splendor.
