Puerto Vallarta promotes its offerings for Meetings Tourism

Each year, destination representatives meet with meeting planners and associations from various parts of Mexico, the United States, and Canada.


As part of the strategic actions of the Tourism Promotion Trust with the objective of continuing to promote Puerto Vallarta to the meetings industry of our country, its Group and Convention Management –accompanied by representatives from the hospitality industry, DMCs, and tour operators from the destination– visited Mexico City to explore business opportunities with major event organizers and associations from the country's capital.

During these meetings, the organization of congresses, conventions, exhibitions, incentive trips, team-building events (team building), product launches, and sporting events in Puerto Vallarta, informing them of the destination's competitive advantages, including its safety, greater draw compared to other cities, and the extensive network of professionals who guarantee successful events. 

Besides the Group and Convention Management of Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, The promotional teams were comprised of various hotels such as: Buenaventura, Barceló, Canto del Sol, City Express Plus, Crown Paradise, Dreams, Fiesta Americana, Friendly Fun, Grand Miramar, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Hyatt Ziva, Krystal, Marriott, Mío, Secrets, Sheraton Buganvilias, The Westin, Vamar, Velas, and Villa Premiere; DMCs Tropical Incentives and VTA; the tour operator Vallarta Adventures; the International Convention Center; and the destination representation agency, PTG (Preferred Travel Group).

During the workdays, they are finalized business appointments with meeting planners and 13 associations from the country's capital, highlighting new features of the destination, hotel facilities for groups and experiences they can enjoy during their stay, as well as support for congresses, conventions, and events held in Puerto Vallarta.

Connectivity was also highlighted with Domestic and international destinations through 24 airlines that transported nearly 7 million passengers to the destination in 2025, the expansion of Puerto Vallarta International Airport with the construction of a new international air terminal and the new stretch of the Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta highway, which reduces travel time to 3 hours.

With these actions, Puerto Vallarta it fostered interest in holding events in the destination among the various agencies and associations visited, generating multiple business opportunities and thus positioning itself to continue being a national leader in meetings tourism.
