The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (OVC) will be present at the most important tourist event in Spain and one of the most important in the world, the International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2021), which in its 41st edition will be dedicated to the recovery of the world tourism industry, after more than a year in which the world is being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

FITUR 2021 will be held in Madrid, Spain, from May 19 to 23, 2021 at the Ifema fairgrounds; As a complement to the face-to-face edition, FITUR LIVEConnect will be launched, an advanced digital platform that offers the opportunity to generate commercial networking and strengthen interaction with the international tourism community.

“The objective is to strengthen links with the European market: airlines, travel agencies, wholesalers, and other industry players, in addition to renewing our alliance with TUI Airways, the third largest UK-based airline since 2014. it maintained two flights a week to this region from London and Manchester, which were suspended as a result of the pandemic,” said Marc Murphy, general director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau.

FITUR 2021 will bring together a total of 5,000 participants in this special edition (significantly fewer than previous editions), with representation from the five continents and direct participation of 55 countries, including destinations and companies, of which 37 attend with official representation. The event will be held with all the forecasts and protection measures recommended by international health organizations.
Riviera Nayarit received in June 2020 the Travel Safety Stamp, granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which certifies compliance with international hygiene and biosafety standards.
