Live the sixth Guayabitos Cup of Beach Volleyball

Guayabitos reaffirms itself as the National Capital of Beach Volleyball. This coming March 14 and 15, more than 100 teams will compete in the sixth Guayabitos Beach Volleyball Cup.

This next March 14 and 15, the child and youth state teams from at least 20 entities will meet on the best beach in Mexico to practice this spectacular sport, during the sixth Guayabitos Beach Volleyball Cup.

With more than 100 confirmed teams from states such as: Baja California and Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Durango, Nuevo León, Jalisco, State of Mexico, Chihuahua, Colima, Querétaro, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Zacatecas, Guerrero, Veracruz, Guanajuato and Nayarit. This tournament will become the great party for children and youth players prior to their participation in the 2020 CONADE National Games.

The categories called are:

  • Senior Youth 2000-2001
  • Junior Senior 2002-2003
  • Senior Children 2006-2007
  • Juvenile Minor 2004-2005
  • Children Minor 2008-2009

A competition with international players

Among the participating pairs are some that have already managed to represent our country internationally, such as Youth Olympic Games and the World Tour. Therefore, the competitive level will once again be the highest in Mexico. Combining this with the promotional categories, such as the children's 2006-2007 and 2008-2009 categories, for whom this cup will be one of their most important competitions this year.

The prize pool will be 30 thousand pesos to be distributed among the first places in each category and branch, also delivering commemorative medals to the first three places.

The matches will take place on the Rincón de Guayabitos beach in the residential area, next to Las Escolleras, starting at 08:30 in the morning, Pacific time, and admission will be completely free for the public.

For the president of the Association of Hotels of the Municipality of Compostela, Dr. Alejandro Rafael Chávez Bustos, this event represents not only the possibility of promoting these young people towards their professional development, but also positions Rincón de Guayabitos as one of the best headquarters of this sport not only in the country but internationally. Therefore, according to his words, this year they will be seeking to consolidate the tourist destination and the Compostela area with an event of international stature.

For this, the hotel leader mentions having the full support of the Government of the State of Nayarit, through the Ministry of Tourism and the State Tourism Promotion Trust. As well as the Nayarit Volleyball Association and the president of the Mexican Volleyball Federation, Mr. Jesús Perales and the national coordinator of this specialty, Mrs. Hilda Gaxiola Alvarez.
