An event of great relevance, because thanks to the opening of the incipient communication route, the connection by land with Tepic, Guadalajara and other important population centers, through motor vehicles. It used the old airport of &quot;La Vena de Santa Mar\u00eda&quot; with DC-3 aircraft equipment at the beginning and DC-4 later. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">Being affiliated with Pan American Air lines, these campaigns reached the international market. In 1962 the new airport and Mexicana de Aviaci\u00f3n were completed.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">opened the Puerto Vallarta-Mazatl\u00e1n-Los Angeles route. In 1966, the Mexican Company of\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">Aviation landed the Jet for the first time in Puerto Vallarta.
