During the Tianguis Turístico 2024, held in Acapulco, Guerrero, exciting news was revealed for Bahía de Banderas, consolidating its growth in the tourism sector. Two prominent international competitions have chosen this destination to attract sports enthusiasts from around the world.

El emblemático Ironman 70.3 fue anunciado como uno de los eventos principales, programado para noviembre del presente año. Esta competencia de resistencia extrema, que abarca natación, ciclismo y carrera, promete reunir a atletas de élite y a una audiencia global, proyectando los reflectores hacia Bahía de Banderas.

Local and state authorities joined in presenting the event, expressing gratitude to the organizers for choosing Bahía de Banderas as the venue.

Also announced was the Gran Fondo Whistler, an event aimed primarily at the Canadian market, which will attract more than 700 road cyclists in April 2025. Since Canada represents the second most important international market for the Riviera Nayarit, this event aims to capitalize on the potential of sports tourism from this country.
