Nuevo Vallarta Bike Paths, a world-class route

Cycling is one of the most complete sports; in addition to physical benefits, riding helps balance your mental and emotional state.

Movement also helps us reconnect with our emotions, so if you had a tough week, don't be surprised that the body literally releases stress through the pores of the skin. If you're with company, the enjoyment is shared, savoring the scenery, conversation, or music. But if you go alone, the experience allows you to enter a state of active meditation that invites you into an internal dialogue that even helps you solve problems.

The Start of the route: Coconut Grove Promenade

It all begins on Paseo de los Cocoteros, also known as the first entrance to Nuevo, which passes by the Bahía de Banderas Technological University. This is the most iconic avenue for cyclists in Nuevo Vallarta. This stretch is a favorite among locals and travelers because it has well-adapted spaces, pleasant views, and that relaxed atmosphere that invites you to pedal unhurriedly. It is public and available to everyone. Many people use it to get to their workplaces in the hotel zone.

Once you reach the roundabout in front of the FIBA entrance, you'll find the bike path splits, heading north (Bucerías) and south (Paradise Village). This stretch was built in the middle of the central median and measures approximately 5 to 6 kilometers. Here, you'll ride among palm trees, trees, vegetation, hotels, cafes, and little nooks that give you a thousand excuses to take breaks. As you progress, the environment subtly changes, and music is indispensable. I suggest bringing an external speaker for safety reasons and to avoid isolating yourself from the external noise of cars and the general atmosphere. If cycling already gives you a sense of freedom, doing it on flat, lit terrain, with signage, good music, and safely, is priceless.

This stretch adds that touch of adventure and allows you to extend the journey to about 14 kilometers in one direction. The prize? Arriving in Bucerías and enjoying a sunrise or sunset from a public access point to the sea, next to the Decameron Hotel. Additionally, to get there, you'll follow a landscaped path with native trees that resembles a fairy-tale landscape.
