There are public sector hospitals such as: the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), the Regional Hospital of the Secretary of Health of Jalisco, and the ISSSTE in Puerto Vallarta, and in Bahía de Banderas, the Pondoroque Hospital in Mezcales and the Hospital de health in San Francisco Nayarit, in what corresponds to public services. Amerimed, CMQ Centro, CMQ Premiere, CMQ Riviera Nayarit, Medasist, San Javier Marina and San Javier Riviera Nayarit. All these private hospitals have bilingual staff, and facilities with all the necessary equipment to care for and perform highly specialized procedures.
On the other hand, there are also lower-cost maternity and emergency clinics that offer specialized services such as: the Versalles Hospital and the ANKU Clinic specializing in urology, Clínica Las Palmas.
