An excellent film set in the Baroque period, it tells, with fantastic overtones, the story of three kingdoms and their respective monarchs. That of the Queen of Longtrellis and her husband, that of two mysterious sisters who ignite the passion of the King of Strongcliff, and that of the King of Highhills, obsessed with a giant flea, which leads him to break the heart of his young daughter. Free adaptation of “The Tale of Tales” by the Neapolitan Giambattista Basile, famous author of short stories from the 17th century.
