One would think that to get to heaven you have to go up, but to get to Las Gemelas beach you go down several steps, arriving at an earthly paradise.
Playa Las Gemelas is in a southerly direction, at kilometer 7.5 on Federal Highway 200 a christmas bar. You can go by car or take urban transport. They are based at the corner of Calle Constitución and Basilio Badillo in the romantic zone. These orange and white buses are very well priced for the public. Although it is difficult to imagine, it stands out among several Puerto Vallarta beaches for its landscapes and unrepeatable characteristics. From the highest point before entering this beach you will be able to admire its beauty. Light gray sand with a soft texture, sea of a beautiful turquoise green with the white touches of the foam, trees of such an intense green that they hypnotize.
Despite the construction of hotels and resorts in the area, the majestic mountains impose themselves with their splendor and the birds are masters of a fresh sea breeze. Another of the landscapes that it gives us is the view of The Arches of Mismaloya, rock formations that are one of the most beautiful natural monuments in Mexico.

Playa Las Gemelas is open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Snacks and drinks should be prepared to spend the day, since there are no restaurants or shops in the area. Access is difficult for beach vendors because the beach is fenced with rock formations at either end. We should not leave a towel, sunscreen, comfortable sandals and good sunglasses at home. Sports like snorkeling and kayaking are great to practice, so don't forget your visors and fins to keep an eye on the marine life.
Little ones can play with the moldable sand and build dream castles. Adults sunbathe to restore their energy. You must be aware of the force of the sea, sometimes the intensity increases. Most of the time its warm waters are kind. Many athletes take advantage of the long entrance staircase to do their morning exercises. After this brief warm-up, Las Gemelas run along the beach, taking advantage of its smooth sand.
On some occasions the waves can lead to rise, reducing the space of land but it is still just as beautiful.
At Las Gemelas beach, you have to be aware of the rise in waves, because when the tide begins to advance, it reduces the space of land but that does not mean it stops being so attractive. Although you do have to be smart to get to the place early in the morning and be able to choose the best area of the beach. If you are lucky, in addition to having a good place, there will be space to have friendly volleyball and soccer matches with your friends and/or family.
