Guayabitos receives the ABH Aquatic Marathon on October 23

The ABH Aquatic Marathon, XXVI Festival of the Sea and the Great Aquatic Challenge In Memoriam Swimming in the Sun XXIX are held in Rincón de Guayabitos
Rincón de Guayabitos, Nayarit, will host the twenty-ninth edition of the sporting event that will bring together a maximum of 500 enthusiastic swimmers from all over Mexico, the Great Aquatic Challenge In Memoriam Swimming in the Sun XXIX ABH Aquatic Marathon and XXVI Festival of the Sea, will kick off next Saturday October 23 at the beach of Rincón de Guayabitos
The ABH Sports and Cultural Promoter, organizer of the sporting event, points out in the call that with great respect and passion they designed this aquatic challenge in honor of all those who have gone before us along the way due to the COVID-19 pandemic and especially by its general director Don Beto Ramírez, who unfortunately also swam in the sun, not considering it a competition, but rather an aquatic celebration for them.

As will be remembered, the bay of Rincón de Guayabitos has been the permanent venue for two decades of the event, which originally had its beginnings in the port of Manzanillo, Colima, which was suspended due to the pandemic and in this 2021 they resume with the different categories and swimming distances, the times will be digitally timed using a chip by TritónMX.

The best swimmers
One of the particularities of the ABH Aquatic Marathon is that it has always been an innovative event where the best swimmers in Mexico have come together, either as part of their comprehensive training or as high-performance competitors, such has been the case of Iván López, Manuel Chiu , Carmen Ochoa, Lizet Rueda, Paola Díaz, Álvaro Ibarra, Patricia Castañeda, Olympic athletes Arnulfo Castorena and Pedro López, just to name a few.
For this edition, it contemplates a 1 kilometer route for sprinters and for novice and recreational swimmers, likewise during the route we will install 12 giant two-meter buoys with the aim of providing greater security for the participants.
In the same way, we inform you that we expect the participation of representatives from different states of the republic such as Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Nayarit, Colima, Michoacán, Jalisco, especially from Mexico City, Veracruz, Chiapas, Tamaulipas and Chihuahua, among others. . There will only be 500 swimmers.
As part of our security policy for the participants, we will have the support of the Government of the State of Jalisco and Nayarit, as well as the Mexican Red Cross, Civil Protection.
For the only occasion, a Commemorative medal of mission accomplished will be delivered to all participants.
