The place is much more than a beach. It is teeming with wildlife, and is also home to many other exotic species, both marine and terrestrial. One of its most unique inhabitants is the Blue-footed Booby Bird.

Playa Escondida is undoubtedly one of the most interesting beaches in the world. It is accessed by swimming through an underwater passage, when the tide falls.

“The fun comes when you find yourself hiding on the beach. Visitors go on a short boat trip through the crystal clear waters and are forced to dive and swim to reach these golden sands,” mentions an article published on the Flight Network blog.

How to get to Love Beach

To go to Playa Escondida you must take a boat in Mita's tip, located at the northern end of the bay. In the delicious journey you can see turtles, dolphins and between December and February, humpback whales.
