Ramiro Daniel presents the work “MAMUT”
April 18 @ 20:00 - May 19 @ 21:30
Mamut is a biodramatic work that addresses the theme of death as an inevitable consequence of life. The story revolves around the actor Ramiro Daniel, who in an acting workshop imagined the death of his father. However, what was originally imagined has now become a painful reality. Ramiro feels guilty and faces the need to understand and deal with the loss.
It will be presented on April 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, and May 15, 17, 18 and 19. It will be free entry, you just have to be in good physical condition.
The work is characterized by being one-person, which allows the actor to have close contact with the audience. For approximately one hour, Ramiro uses different stage devices to generate an emotional connection with the spectators. Despite not having elaborate set elements, the work relies on simple objects such as a Jenga game, a cell phone, some beers, and the actor's own personal history.
The Mamut format focuses on the interaction between the reality of the actor and that of the audience. In addition to the main narrative, personal stories from some members of the public are incorporated, thus creating an environment of participation and collective connection. The work seeks to explore the different emotional and psychological aspects that arise around death and how these experiences can resonate with the public.
Mamut's style combines elements of biodramatic theater with improvisation techniques and active audience participation. Through an intimate and personal narrative, the work invites us to reflect on the inevitability of death, emotional responsibility and the grieving process.
