Las Juntas and Los Veranos is consolidated as ecotourism destination. This charming ejido in Cabo Corrientes receives more and more visitors year after year, seduced by its growing number of tourist, recreational and gastronomic attractions.

A few minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, along highway 200 towards The Tuito, The Meetings and the Summers It is one of the favorite getaways for residents of the bay to cool off from the high summer temperatures. In 1965 the ejido was created, formed by the agreement of two groups of farmers who lived and worked in the area: one was called Las Juntas and the other Los Veranos. This is how the current ejido was born, naturally called Las Juntas and Los Veranos.

The territory has a significant number of species of flora and fauna wild, sufficient for the sustainable use of the natural resources. Today, the ejido contemplates obtaining income from tourism alternative and ecological. Likewise, they conserve the environment and habitat necessary for the survival of the species of both flora and fauna typical of the area. The ejido of The Meetings and the Summers becomes a pioneer of ways to achieve self-sufficiency through the development of these activities.

Canopies and zip lines: The Indio, Los Veranos and ejido canopies offer a touch of adrenaline as you slide through the jungle and then take a refreshing swim in the river.

Hiking and camping The area is full of camping areas, hiking trails and rural roads where you can embark on an adventure. There are trails that lead to Las Animas, Quimixto and Yelapa, which are the delights of walkers.

Botanical Garden from Puerto Vallarta: It is located a few minutes from the center of Las Juntas and Los Veranos, on the federal highway. It is an area of 26 hectares at 420 meters above sea level. It is directed by the Vallarta Botánica Gardens civil association, founded by Bob Price in 2004, opening its doors to the public in 2005. It is a place to let yourself be carried by the breeze, listen to the birds sing and marvel at the design of the flora.

Wild life: The area is optimal to meet some of the endemic animal species of the region such as the armadillo, the raccoon, the jaguars, the foxes, the wild boar, the puma and the badger. In Las Juntas and Los Veranos you can watch birds: parakeets, macaws, chachalacas and chonchos. There is also the Macaw Sanctuary, on federal highway 200, in the town of La Puerta, a place dedicated tobird watching, construction and installation of nests and activities for the conservation of the green macaw.

Typical gastronomy: In Las Juntas and Los Veranos there are good restaurants along the river, on the federal highway or inside the town. The most traditional are Chicos Paradise, Cascadas and OK Corral.
