The Puerto Vallarta Jazz Festival is an educational event for students that serves groups from high schools and universities who come to work with our professional artists who conduct clinics and perform with the groups.

Experience and perform in the beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta. The city is located in the center of one of the largest bays in the world: the “Bahía de las Banderas” or “Bahía de las Banderas”. With more than 40 miles of coastline, the bay is filled with dolphins, sea turtles, giant manta rays, and gray and humpback whales that come to visit during the winter.

Groups stay at the beautiful 4-star Buenaventura hotel (or similar property). Three- or four-night packages are available with a free land package offered with every 25 paid participants.

Jazz Ed Network founding member Mary Jo Papich serves as artistic director of this dynamic festival for high school, college, and university vocal and instrumental jazz ensembles. Participating ensembles will perform with Puerto Vallarta jazz musicians as soloists, and all participants will benefit from clinics presented by top jazz professionals. Each group will receive a plaque and medals will be awarded to outstanding soloists.

– Mexican fiesta dinner and awards ceremony with live entertainment.

– Clinics, workshops/public performances with professional jazz soloists plus another performance.
