Look what awaits you: Nayarita Gastronomy

In the Treasure of the Mexican Pacific, each region has a different flavor, but always following the standards of Nayarita gastronomy, which is traditional, incomparable and delicious.

What does the Riviera Nayarit and its coastal towns taste like?, to which Sayulita, San Blas or Mexcaltitán? The Treasure of the Mexican Pacific (as this tourist destination is also known), has an intense flavor of the sea, nature, and tradition, which make gastronomy a great luxury, although that luxury does not mean expensive dishes and exclusive restaurants -that there are, of the best quality- but to be able to enjoy fresh products, ancestral heritage and dishes prepared with love.

In Riviera Nayarit, each region has a different flavor but always following the standards of the nayarita gastronomy, which has not been named in vain Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nayarits.

Look what awaits you!

Bucerias

He town of bucerias is famous for its seafood, which includes all kinds of ceviches, fish and the most traditional, oysters in their shell, for which the Oyster Festival is even held every year in April, an event organized by the Cooperativa de Pescadores y Buzos. Bucerías offers the largest oysters in the region, thanks to the special treatment given to the mollusc and the fact that the natural banks are only exploited twice a year, the rest of the year being closed.

Mexcaltitan

The cradle of Mexicanness is also the cradle of the zarandeado fish, so what else could it taste like? Well, it also tastes like fresh fish and shrimp prepared in a thousand different ways: Tixtihuil style, in tamales, roach style, or in the simplest way, sun-dried. Locals tend to taste them in a simple way: soaked in a lemon sauce with chili and to cool off, a cold beer.

New vallarta

In Nuevo Vallarta there are dozens of restaurants for all tastes and budgets; from traditional cuisine that offers fresh products from the region to delicacies of gourmet cuisine: Mexican, Mediterranean, Lebanese cuisine, without missing Italian and Japanese. Nuevo Vallarta tastes like the world!

Mita's tip

Mita's tip is a luxury microdestination within the Riviera Nayarit, where prestigious hotels have their properties, the gastronomy of this “Glamour Peninsula” combines regional cuisine menus with diverse alternatives from the kitchens of other countries, resulting in a culinary richness capable of satisfying the most demanding palates.

Guayabitos corner

In this community there are many products from the sea with which a wide variety of typical dishes are prepared, such as ceviche, aguachile, even zarandeado fish, but no one can deny that the most traditional flavor is that of the shrimp and fish skewers that are sold on the beach, and eaten drizzled with lemon and hot sauce, simply delicious!
