From Las Vegas to California to the cabaret/jazz venues of New York, Jonathan Karrant makes his first appearance in Act2PV's Red Room! Although he is in his twenties, he seems to have an innate, internal connection to the music writers of the past, singing the songs we all grew up with, from Cole Porter to Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr, Sinatra, and many more. This handsome young man is restless enough to sing with the Boy Band, but he's also an accomplished jazz musician with an amazing baritone voice! He's on his way to international stardom! Audiences have said that when she sings, she paints a picture, presents a mood, and then totally captivates the room through her song.
Jonathan grew up in Arkansas in a family of music lovers. He sang his first solo at age 7 and has been singing ever since! She participated in musical theater in high school and studied at the William Esper School of Performing Arts in New York and the Seth Riggs School of Voice in Los Angeles. He was awarded New York City Jazz Cabaret Honors in 2014 and, in 2015, was voted “Best Singer” by the Bravo San Diego Awards. He performed on Broadway in many musicals, including The Man Who Came to Dinner, Annie, The Pajama Game and The Wizard of Oz, and his first album, Out and Out, reached number # 4 on the jazz charts. Downbeat Magazine called him “one of the top 12 rising jazz artists!”
