Located southwest of Punta Mita, in the Nayarit region, Playa Escondida emerges as a unique and exclusive destination on the western coast of Mexico. Known for its exceptional natural features, this beach is located in the Marietas Islands and is only accessible by sea, making it a desired retreat for travelers seeking authentic experiences in a pristine environment.
The charm of Playa Escondida in Nayarit
Despite its beauty, access to Playa Escondida is restricted to 15 to 20 minutes due to federal regulations to protect the ecosystem and the endemic species that inhabit it. Visitors must pay a recovery fee of $50 CONAMP pesos + $50 Bahía Unida pesos per person, which goes towards environmental conservation. Several tourist agencies, such as Explora Vallarta, Punta Mita Expedition, and Vallarta Adventures, offer verified tours that allow you to explore this natural wonder while respecting its environmental fragility.
