Nayarit attracts journalists from South America

A group of South American journalists were in this exuberant destination between September 2 and 14, enjoying themselves in the style of great celebrities.

A first group arrived on September 2 and stayed here until the 9th of the same month, visiting the most emblematic sites of the Mexican Pacific Treasure such as Bucerías, Sayulita and Lo de Marcos.

Four media representatives from Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru attended the familiarization trip entitled Hispanic South America, accompanied by executives from the Newlink Public Relations agency.

The journalists from Clarín from Argentina; Tourism 4 from Chile; Colombia's El Tiempo and Peru's El Comercio visited the Nuevo Vallarta-Flamingos tourist corridor as the first stop on their itinerary and explored the coastal towns of Bucerías and Sayulita. In San Francisco, known as the "Cultural Capital of the Riviera Nayarit," in addition to touring the town's streets, they visited La Patrona Polo & Equestrian Club, the Entre Amigos Community Center, and the Cielo Rojo boutique hotel. They also enjoyed the hospitality of the Marival Residences Luxury Resort and W Punta de Mita hotels and carried out ecotourism activities with Xplore México in Lo de Marcos.

The second group, made up of Brazilian journalists, was at El Tesoro del Pacífico Mexicano from September 11 to 14. The visitors arrived in the region on Sunday, September 9, and after a day in Puerto Vallarta they traveled by land to the Riviera Nayarit, where they were received by the Public Relations team representing the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau. (OVC) and the Banderas Bay Hotel and Motel Association (AHMB).

Four of the most important tourism, luxury, nature and travel media from the South American country came: Qual Viagem Magazine, O Globo, Top Destinos, Brasil Travel News, as well as the Smartpr Public Relations and Communication agency.

As their first activity, they made an inspection visit to the W Punta de Mita hotel, where they also had the opportunity to savor the exquisite Nayarita cuisine. Later they moved to The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort hotel, where they were treated like royalty.

Likewise, they visited the traditional towns of Bucerías, San Francisco (popularly known as San Pancho) and Punta de Mita, and finally the Marietas Islands, tourist icon of the Riviera Nayarit.

"Brazil represents a very important potential market for the Riviera Nayarit thanks to the fact that it is one of the countries that has a high purchasing power for tourism, for which we consider it a wise move to attract more tourists from that country," said Marc Murphy, general director of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Bahía de Banderas and the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (AHMBB).
